Commercial Building Roof Moisture Survey & Condition Assessment

A comprehensive roof moisture survey was performed in accordance with ASTM D7954 — Standard Practice for Moisture Surveying of Roofing and Waterproofing Systems Using Non-Destructive Electrical Impedance Scanners, along with ASTM C1153 — Standard Practice for Location of Wet Insulation in Roofing Systems Using Infrared Imaging. These non-destructive diagnostic methods were used to accurately identify areas of moisture infiltration and evaluate the condition of the existing roofing assembly.

The combined electrical impedance and infrared thermal imaging analysis allowed for precise mapping of wet insulation and compromised roof sections without invasive testing. Based on the survey data and evaluation against accepted industry standards for roofing system performance, the findings determined that the existing roof assembly had exceeded its serviceable condition and required full replacement to restore proper waterproofing performance and long-term building protection.
